The first responsibility of a man of faith is to make his faith really part of his own life, not by rationalizing it but by living it. Thomas Merton
Hospitality, how we interact each other, has the potential to be an expression of our deepest values and a practice to move us toward the kind of community we would like to be. Welcoming the stranger (and each other) is not just an obligation for ‘their’ sake, but an opportunity to practice what we believe. In this context, hospitality is not an institutional issue for the leadership or a committee to deal with, but a practice that benefits us all.
